BLACK ON BLACK CRIME. GOVERNMENT PROMOTES IT.

One gets tired pretty fast after asking him or herself repeatedly why most televised crime related incident results in “Black male” as though, Black males are the only ones with guns who are killing each other. After watching “Boyz in the Hood”, I believe I understand it just a tid bit more. Black on Black crime is promoted, encouraged if you will cultural and governmentally through sale. You can not miss a liquor or gun shop located on every corner of impoverished communities specially Black communities. When you are constantly told that you are not enough, will die before you attend a University and are not taught how to be a Man or Woman, you will start to believe that you are not WORTHY. This of course is not true and I will make sure to tell my son that he is a Prince, soon to be King and make sure that he knows he is not the exception, but the rule. 

Black on Black crime is done when there is a community where hope is lost, whether that community is physical or within. The unconscious mind begins to believe that it is a criminal and then lives a life of such behavior. People start to mold what such a criminal looks like and then treats people who look, sound, or act like a ‘criminal’ a certain way, once again encouraging criminal to be born. The world is not against our Black men, I, we Have Your Blacks! Your Brown, Brilliant, Bold Backs. 

What are you Searching For?

There is a deep ingrained need for love, it is almost so essential that one can call it necessary for survival. Love itself is not the poison that we sometimes make it out to be, it is the searching that we go out to try and find it that gets us. We will sell our souls for it, with nothing left but a empty wallet and bare feet, its that bad. Love from others is used as a validation for love of thy self, that’s why we have such popular and controversial holidays like “Valentine’s Day”. Companies make bank selling love through cards and boxes of chocolate. 

There is nothing wrong with buying gifts for others, it is a kind and selfless way to express a relationship or friendship, however if you are waiting for the government to decide that or put little thought in what you are getting, its useless. Love is one, if not, the most powerful weapon we have. It is so unconditional that a broken heart can actually cause physical pain that leads to dis ease. One can look far and wide, outside to the deserts of India for love, however if you can not look within yourself to find it, you are fighting a losing battle.

I know it is hard, we constantly ask ourselves if what we are is Enough, we question our gifts, our truths. Don’t beat yourself up for the journey you are on in search of love, it is a personal trail. You may look for love in all the wrong places until you find a place where it is right, within you. Loving yourself first and well is a hard realization to honor, it is doable however, so you must want it enough. You must love yourself the way you loved your 1st, kindly, with full commitment. 

Some steps I have seen results in, in allowing me to love myself that I want to share with you are:

1. Meditating on your day, starting it off in full silence with You

2. Making decisions because it benefits your needs

3. Being alright in saying no, just as much as you say yes

4. Forgiving yourself. Because you are Worth it.

5. Taking care in the inside and outside parts of your mind, body, soul

6. Taking on an activity that brings you joy

7. Pleasing yourself 

8. Traveling to look outside of what you know

9. Being grateful

10. Shining through your passions

I hope these help just a tid bit, we don’t have to search for love, it is standing right infront of us every morning begging to be loved back, it is ourselves. Take each day as a opportunity and look forward to what you want in your life instead of what you don’t, and then go and GET IT.
